This French artist is considered a recognized master of the landscape, although during his life he has created many works in other genres - portrait and "nude" - nudity. Despite the fact that these works are also distinguished by high skill and quality of execution, it is the landscapes of the master who “touch the soul” with their lyrical mood and prosaic objects. The artist’s paintings are artlessly simple and therefore unusually attractive in the eyes of the public.
The future talented artist was born in a family absolutely far from art - his father was an employee on the railway. His birthday falls on March 27, 1875, the event took place in Bordeaux, France.
Albert's love of painting resulted in training in the class of Gustave Moreau, at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. The French capital in those days was the center of art, a melting pot of new trends and trends.
Initially, Marche joined the Fauvists, maintained friendly relations with Derain and Matisse, exhibited in 1905 and 1906. But pretty soon the “wild” experiments with color and shapes ceased to interest him, and he moved on to what he liked most - subtle color harmonies, the charms of wildlife. He paid a lot of attention to various natural conditions, depicting rain, fog, winter time with its strange, wavering gray veil in the air.
Since 1919, the artist lived in the small towns of the historical region of Ильle-de-France, lying around Paris. In search of nature, he made long journeys, and political convictions led him even to the Soviet Union, where he visited in 1934. The artist took an active life position, during the Second World War he participated in the Resistance movement, living in Algeria.
In the postwar period, the political faith of Marche made him a member of the Communist Party of France. Until the end of his life, he remained faithful to his convictions - both in public life and in art.
In 1947, the master died after serious surgery.
